Yankees and wine

Working at Traducendo Ltd we deal with wine almost on a daily basis. When we started we were quite ignorant on the topic, I mean, yes of course, we were able to choose a bottle of wine for a dinner and we could tell if a wine was good or not. But considering how much there is to know on wine, yes, we were so damn ignorant. Working with so many clients at the top of this industry we learned more than if we went back to school. But we didn't only learn stuff about the wine itself, we did learn also what is around the wine industry and how wine is perceived all around this crazy world. Wine industry is full of snob, poshy people that believes they are the only one to know about wine. Crazy enough, they are mostly American (at least in our experience). And crazy enough, and I am sorry to say but it's true, US is the world cradle of ignorance and over simplification. Some thoughts

It’s summer, at least in the northern hemisphere, and you are probably sun tanning on the beach, while here at Traducendo we work! But it’s ok. It’s ok because we can take this chance to talk about something that we love and now you will have the time to listen to us about it. Let’s talk about Europe. Europe for us is the next frontier of the human race, is 28 countries coming, step by step, together in order to create something bigger. It’s a monument to peace, friendship, brotherhood (and sisterhood to be fair). We believe in a continent-state able to absorb all the characteristics of each of the countries composing it and in the same time keep all the diversities alive. Europe is a different answer to globalization. That’s why we suffer so much seeing the bad turn things have taken here around EU. Why do we move so much? (A Traducendo touristic guide to some few interesting spots)

Traducendos’ main feature, yeah, we areThe Traducendos , we thought it would have been cool to have a name like that, you know, like The Sopranos  (by the way, Tony is dead… we are so sorry…). Anyway, the Traducendos’ main feature are our “restless butts”. OK, not all of you will understand this typical   Spanish saying, so let me explain it to you: if your butt is restless it will push you to move (it wasn’t that difficult after all).  And so yes, we move. We lived (and worked) in Rome, Barcelona, Brussels, Singapore, El Palmar, Mazzano, Campobasso, Granada, Marino, London, Milan and Malta. And we have loved all of these places. Rome is the sort of fil rouge : Gabriele was born and raised up there until his 20s, Irene lived there for a couple of years and Antonella, always lived up and forth from somewhere else and   the capital of Italy (even though she supports the wrong football team).
